Career in Engineering 2023

The Training and Placement Cell of Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE) organized a talk on the topic ‘Career in Engineering’. This event targeted students of class 10th, 11th, 12th as well as students pursuing a diploma in their respective fields along with parents. The objective of the talk was to help aspiring students in choosing the right branch of engineering and also making them aware of the admission process at the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) for engineering colleges.  The talk was conducted in on June 2, 2023 from. Mr. Yeshudas Muttu, the moderator of the event gave a brief introduction to the event. Dr. Neena Panandikar- Principal- DBCE welcomed all the guests to the event. Mr. Yeshudas Muttu gave an overview of Career in Engineering and various job opportunities. He suggested, “Maths is a very important subject for engineering.” Videos of engineering departments of Don Bosco College of Engineering were shown to the participants to give them an overview and glimpse of life at various disciplines in an engineering college. Prof. Swapnil Ramani gave a detailed explanation of the admission process that is conducted by DTE in Goa. He said “This is the last time GCET was held, next year the process will be based on JEE which can be answered twice so students should prepare accordingly”. There was a question-answer session which was moderated by Mr. Yeshudas Muttu. A lot of questions were posted by the parents. All the questions were answered by the panel and Principal. After the Q&A session, Dr. Shreyas Simu delivered the vote of thanks appreciating the Director, Principal and the panel of HOD’s at DBCE who helped to make the session a successful event. He also thanked the participants for making the event a huge success.
