Webinar on – ‘Stepping into the Industrial World’

The Training and Placement Cell of Don Bosco College of Engineering organized a webinar on ‘Stepping into the Industrial World’ for students of all branches of Don Bosco College of Engineering. The talk was organized on World Youth Skill Day, 15th July 2021 on Google Meet from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
The speaker for the event was Ms. Divya Lotliker. She is a HR Professional and a Soft Skills Trainer, and completed her PGDBM (HR) from Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Institute of Management Studies. She has diverse expertise in HR for more than 10 years in the industry in the verticals of HR like Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Employee Engagement and Learning & Development. Currently she is working at Putzmeister Concrete Pvt. Ltd. company as HR Generalist.
The speaker spoke about preparing oneself before embarking the journey into the industry. She explained why being prepared and time management is important. She also explained the interview process and what every student should do to crack the same. Then she explained in detail how industrial world is different from corporate world. She also guided the audience on how to maintain work-life balance and its importance. The speaker answered all queries in the end. The event was concluded by Prof. Avila Naik, TPO by thanking the speaker for their valuable time and inputs. Principal of college, Dr. Neena Panandikar also thanked the speaker for a wonderful session. Dr. Shreyas Simu and Prof. Sachin Turi also wished the speaker for her better future and requested her to join us again for another session.
