FDP (Faculty Development Programme) on SMART CLASS
The Training & Placement Cell of Don Bosco College of Engineering organized FDP (Faculty Development Programme) on SMART CLASS for the teaching faculty of Don Bosco College of Engineering on Saturday, 14 July 2018 at the institute.
At the onset of the FDP, Prof. Avila Naik highlighted the importance of training programmes for the faculty. The first session was conducted on the Use of SMART BOARDS to create SMART CLASS by Mr. Pradip Kalshetty, Senior Product Trainer, Senses Electronics Pvt. Ltd. In this session, the resource person provided hands-on experience on how to use the Smart Board in teaching. He also displayed the working of the smart board to create digital content.
The next session was on Implementation of Digital Media, New Tools and Technology in Education by Dr. K. R. Anupama, Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani – K K Birla Goa Campus. She focused on blended learning and MOOC courses and informed the participants that education can reach the deepest areas of our country and the world through technology. There was hands-on session on how to design courses using Canvas.
Prof. Roseline Fernandes spoke on the importance of NPTEL and urged the teachers to enrol for the courses. Prof. Ramnath Bam conducted a short session on mapping of course objectives and outcomes and attainment for NBA. Mr. Rajesh Gaonkar, TPO proposed a vote of thanks.
